Dr. Sumedha Roy

" I am a Post-Doctoral Researcher with more than 14 years of  postdoctoral research and teaching experience in Molecular Endocrinology, Toxicology and Genetics. Over the last couple of years I'm exploring different mutations in Human RNF216, that lead to a rare, recessive neurodegenerative disease demonstrating ataxia, dementia, chorea and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.
I'm  working towards thorough characterization of the nature and composition of the intra neuronal inclusions associated with this rare neurodegenerative disease.
I have an extensive experience in Toxicological evaluation of organophosphates and Fluorides in Drosophila model system and have successfully supervised 5 PhD and 8 MSc students in my  earlier employment. I carried out my PhD research work at Bose Institute, Kolkata and until now have more than 45 international publications."
